Jeweller and designer Holly McAfee’s work is inspired by the experience of being immersed in nature, where gentle, constant movement brings a sense of calm and perspective. It’s in the quieter moments (shifting, dappled light, the soft rustling of leaves) where she finds the details that shape her work.
Holly’s jewellery is created as a way of holding onto that feeling. Each design concept begins with a sense of how it should feel to wear - something calming, tactile and grounding - before gradually taking form through a material led, intuitive process.
Using traditional metalworking techniques, Holly recreates the subtle textures and organic shapes she observes, carefully shaping and layering each element by hand. Every design reflects a refined balance between organic inspiration and the solidity of gold.
